Engine knock sensor

When the engine is working, due to the excessive advancement of the ignition time (ignition advance angle), the engine load, temperature and fuel quality, etc., the engine will knock. When knocking occurs, due to the gas combustion before the piston moves to the top dead center, the lighter ones will produce noise and reduce the power of the engine, and the heavy ones will damage the mechanical parts of the engine. In order to prevent the occurrence of knock, the knock sensor is an indispensable important component, so as to adjust the ignition advance time through the electronic control system.

When the engine knocks, the knock sensor converts the mechanical vibration of the engine into a signal voltage and sends it to the ECU. ECU calculates and corrects the ignition advance angle in time according to the ignition and other data stored in advance to adjust the ignition time to prevent the occurrence of knocking.
