Basic overview of variable frequency generators

Generators are usually composed of stators, rotors, end covers, brushes, bases and bearings.

The stator is composed of a base, a stator core, a wire-wrapped winding, and other structural parts that fix these parts. The rotor is composed of rotor iron core, rotor magnetic poles (with yoke and magnetic pole winding), slip ring, (also known as copper ring, slip ring), fan and rotating shaft.

The stator and rotor of the generator are connected and assembled through bearings, frame and end cover, so that the rotor can rotate in the stator, and a certain excitation current is passed through the slip ring to make the stator a rotating magnetic field, and the stator coil performs the motion of cutting the magnetic lines of force. , Thereby generating an induced potential, which is drawn through the terminal and connected to the loop, and then a current is generated. Because there is an open circuit at the connection between the brush and the rotor, the rotor rotates in a certain direction and generates alternating current. Therefore, the alternating current in the circuit such as home circuit, referred to as alternating current. The frequency of the output current of my country's power grid is 50 Hz.
