Because gasoline is low in viscosity and evaporates quickly, it can form a uniform mixture with air outside the cylinder, and then suck the mixture into the cylinder, or use a gasoline injection system to inject gasoline into the cylinder to expand the gas and do work. The disadvantages of gasoline engines are lower thermal efficiency than diesel engines, higher parking consumption, more complicated ignition systems than diesel engines, and lower reliability and ease of maintenance than diesel engines.
